My brother Mithun soul had a life threatening condition called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). This evil condition affects the muscles over time by making them weaker. DMD stole Mithuns ability to walk and use his hands then his ability to eat in his early 20's. The final damage DMD did to my brother was that it weakened his heart and Mithun passed away due to severe heart failure at the age of 28 on the 20/08/2020. 

Acorns supports children with life threatening conditions and this charity meant a lot to Mithun. They have supported Mithun throughout childhood, teenage years and even adulthood as Mithun became one of the first Acorns ambassadors. Even though Acorns is primarily a children's hospice their support does not stop as the person develops. Acorns greatly improved my brothers quality of life and I will be forever thankful. 

Acorns does not only support children with life threatening conditions but also the families. I was part of the siblings group when I was younger and I felt way less lonely knowing there were other siblings in the same situation as me. My mum was part of the mums group and this helped her cope as she was also felt supported. Acorns also supported my family with arranging Mithun's funeral and are still offering support to us. 

Acorns is such a fantastic charity as they go above and beyond helping children with life threatening conditions and supporting families. They make it so much easier to cope with life threatening conditions and treat children with the up most respect and care. 

Mithun did a lot of charity work and gave back to Acorns. I want to carry on his legacy by raising money for Acorns so please donate.
